- Stay abreast of the regulatory environment that the product operates within, and lead the execution of regulatory changes
- Manage operational risk incidents and issues relating to the product, uplifting and implementing controls where required
- Lead product change initiatives to continuously improve the product offering and processes, enhancing customer outcomes and value
- Lead the development and refinement of customer propositions, through insights from customer breakpoints, Voice of Customer feedback and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business and technical stakeholders across frontline, technology, risk and operations
- Provide advice and input, as a subject matter expert, into the product and proposition strategy
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end life cycle of the product, including updating features, policies, terms and conditions, pricing, profit and loss statements, customer retention and remediation, and the overall process chain
- Lead product process developments and enhancements utilising customer centred design thinking.
- Leverage insights on the product marketplace, trends and direct competitors to deliver recommendations for product enhancements and/or new offerings.
- Influence key product decisions and prioritisation through compelling product performance insights including financial outcomes, business outcomes and customer experience.
- Engage with internal risk and product governance frameworks. Present and prepare product papers and reports to various governance forums, senior stakeholders and leadership teams..
- Manage complex product enquiries and complaints, uplifting internal communications and training where required.
- Work with industry and key suppliers to influence e-conveyancing to achieve a straight through, digital customer experience.
- Drive process automation to reduce manual effort across the settlement process.
- Experience working in an agile environment as a Product Owner/Manager
- Experience in delivering complex digital products and services and prioritising accordingly
- Exceptional stakeholder/supplier engagement skills including presentation skills, communication, negotiation and influencing capability at a senior leadership level with a proven record of managing the needs of varied business stakeholders
- Experience with building product roadmap/s
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Experience with effective planning and the ability to contribute to tactical and strategic planning in support of a business plan
- Experience in the home ownership domain is desirable

You will be joining the Simple and Safe Settlements Squad within the Home Buying Purchase and Settle Crew whose purpose is to achieve settlement excellence through a timely, straight through, transparent and safe settlement process

Do work that matters
You will report to the Product Owner, Simple and Safe Settlement for your day to day delivery and a Chapter Lead to support with your performance and career development. As a Product Manager (in Senior Manager level), you’ll work directly with senior RBS leadership to deliver a seamless banking experience for the future. You will guide an Agile, autonomous, cross-functional team to deliver new and enhanced innovations and customer experiences across our Digital and Technology Home buying crew.
You will move forward with less-than-perfect information, confidently address stakeholder questions and concerns, and possess the ability to accurately evaluate ambiguous situations to reach informed decisions. You will have the ability to resolve complex issues by first having a clear understanding of the problem, and then using effective strategies and techniques to generate appropriate solutions.
