      The Digital Product Owner is responsible for delivering an exceptional digital experience for our members, providers, employers, staff, and other key stakeholders. This role serves as a bridge between user experience, business needs, and technological capabilities. Reporting to the VP of Digital, the Digital Product Owner will gather needs from our patient-members and stakeholders, convert and prioritize needs into business and technical requirements, and collaborate cross-departmentally (i.e. IT, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to implement solutions that improve lives. This critical role will enable the technical and experiential integration between Mass General Brigham Health Plan and Mass General Brigham to achieve its goal to be an integrated and value-based care system.

      Essential Functions:

      • Accountable for creating a product vision and continuous implementation framework (built on Agile principles) to advance strategic initiatives and achieve corporate goals in partnership with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Digital Product vision should be seen as a portfolio with ongoing stakeholder input throughout.
      • Document and support awareness of digital product vision. Role is responsible for accurate, timely, and comprehensive communications regarding the digital product strategy and vision within Mass General Brigham Health Plan teams/squads in addition to external parties and executive leadership.
      • Defines minimally excellent products by analyzing desirability, viability, and feasibility to balance short term and long-term outcomes, costs, and outcomes.
      • Lead customer-driven design and usability testing for the squads/team and across the portfolio. Ensure a well-positioned product through market intelligence and competitive analysis in addition to understanding business, financial, and technical constraints.
      • Understand and represent stakeholder (end-user) needs, starting with the member (i.e. patient, healthcare consumer, or human).
      • Own and manage digital product backlog and fulfillment of work aligned to Corporate Goals and Strategic Initiatives of the department and/or business. Epics, Features, User Stories, and other artifacts of the backlog must be clear and actionable. Analyze data to identify opportunities, develop and test hypotheses, prioritize work, and drive business results.
      • Work within Digital budget.
      • Collaborate and facilitate with IT and business leadership as the digital point person to align development with business goals and priorities.
      • Work with stakeholders and squad/team to remove roadblocks/impediments to resolve issues impacting ability to execute. Also resolve problems as needed to ensure internal and external clients receive effective and efficient service.
      • Set long-term and short-term deadlines and maintains schedules for digital projects, utilizing standardized workflow tools and communication platforms.
      • Serve as the point person and system administrator of the group’s workflow management tool. Includes training new/existing team members as well as identifying/driving opportunity areas for enhancing the intake, set up and communication processes for digital projects.
      • Support the overall quality of digital solutions by ensuring releases meet user and business needs.
      • Work with team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of quality products and services.
      • Partner with Corporate IT on strategies and new innovations that will enhance the MassGeneralBrighamHealthPlan.org user experience, both for prospects and the logged in experience for Mass General Brigham Health Plan customers.

      • Use data to prioritize and make tradeoff decisions.

      Knowledge and Education

      Required:

      • Combination of training and experience or Bachelor's Degree, plus 3+ years of related experience working on an Agile Team.

      Experience

      Required:

      • 3+ years of experience, training, and/or education in human-centered design, Agile, human factors engineering, product management, software engineering, project management, or other related field.

      Preferred:

      • Front-end and back-end systems for both web and mobile
      • Experience with CRM software such as Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce
      • Experience with CMS software such as Adobe Experience Cloud and/or HubSpot
