- Provide leadership to an agile team with moderate to high risk and complexity.
- Set an ambitious and clear product vision and communicate ‘the story’ effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team.
- Own the end-to-end product strategy from inception and determine business value once solution enters production, including delivery of product demos.
- Prioritize features, stories, epics, and other work to achieve customer and business objectives focusing on maximizing value.
- The Product Owner will have a good understanding of systems to be able to engage and communicate effectively with Designers, Developers, System Architects and QA regarding requirements.
- Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with own vision.
- Continuously improve backlog with the team, ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized.
- Primary responsibility for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog. Backlog items are prioritized based on user value, time, and other team dependencies determined in the Program Increment planning meeting and refined during the PI.
- Leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams, business partners and conducts stakeholder management for a product(s).
- Appreciate the value of UX. Ensure customer-driven design considering user pain points & usability test results, using market & industry knowledge as well as continual research, to deliver a well-positioned product.
- Drive sprint and release plans together with technology teams.
- Collaborates with the Scrum Master and Scrum team to run successful Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Work with Tech lead to build modular & reusable solutions.
- Experience in ETL job design, job optimization, and deployment - including operational controls.
- Strong understanding of data structures and exchange formats (XML, JSON, flat files, etc.)
- Motivated by both technical and functional aspects of data-related topics.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience a plus.
- 5+ years Product or Operations Management working with technology teams, preferably within the Group Insurance industry.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Living Benefits product portfolio (Absence, Disability, Supplemental Health, or Waiver of Premium) and a deep understanding of the service requirements.
- Proven experience in gathering and transforming customer/business needs into an actionable product roadmap, and product roadmaps into product requirements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience in presenting to senior audiences.
- Strong user experience/design sense.
- Experience with Scrum or other Agile development practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications & VersionOne or JIRA
- Minimal travel may be required for quarterly planning events once it is safe to do so.

As an Agile Product Owner, you will lead an agile team focused on building experiences that support our Voluntary Benefits Administration Platform and Team. Acting as a Product Owner you will develop and drive the product vision and strategy, while providing constant feedback to the team and helping to set and drive toward the vision.
Reporting to the Chief Product Owner (CPO) of the Sponsor Platform Journey you will partner closely with Initiative Owners, Business Leaders, Global Technology teams and Vendors to build and implement digital tools that help deliver business outcomes for our Voluntary Benefits Platform and Team. As a Product Owner, you will work closely with technology partners, designers, and business partners to create, prioritize, and deliver the product roadmap to meet Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Your role will focus on all aspects of the Voluntary Benefits administration journey including onboarding, enrollment, billing, commissions, recordkeeping, reporting, and will require operating in an Agile framework.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $156,100.00 to $211,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
