  Data driven engineering is booming, touching all segments of our business and is at the heart of Amadeus strategy moving towards an open product approach. This is opening plenty of new challenges ahead such as Complex Event processing, Studio and serviceability, real time analytics, and use of machine learning model at run-time.

  The global migration of Amadeus to the cloud is only confirming the strategy embraced by CDP to develop Amadeus Airline Data Platform 2 years ago. In 2021, we have been putting all our expertise and vision in common with TPE and SSP organizations to build the Amadeus Big Data platform in Azure. This platform will host analytics applications, and will implement our data mesh vision in order to allow exposing the company data assets to all Amadeus organizations and customers. In 2022, we’ll have to make this platform enough automated, scalable, industrialized to welcome its first big data applications… meaning a lot of challenges where you could be involved!

  You have here the opportunity to join a smart team that is leveraging all the value of Azure managed services, where Amadeus data complexity is turned into assets, where your thirst of knowledge will never get quenched, and where the foundation of the airlines data platform are being laid...

  Within DIA department (and inside BDP SAFe train), the team is in charge of developing core components of Big Data Platform. This platform covers the full big data stack, from data processing (Spark and Scala) up to Data visualization using Qlik Sense or Azure provisioning and orchestration with native Azure services.

  The very wide functional scope offers several opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from various business areas.
  Furthermore, Analytics and its related topics like Machine Learning is an area where there is a lot yet to be done:
  • On the one hand there are many solutions to be developed and innovative services to be created for all kind of customers including big airlines facing big data unique challenges, this business scope is very young and versatile but offers exciting and unique opportunities to learn and grow in a very promising business area.
  • On the other hand, the technical environment is full of exciting challenges: the technology is evolving very fast, the operational model is to be defined and must at the same time sustain the business growth and remain as well cost effective, cost and performance effectiveness.

  You will work closely with the ( SAFe ) train triumvirat (RTE, PM, architect), with other product owners, and more generally with multiple Amadeus actors who will become users of the platform to deliver Big Data Platform capabilities.

  Main responsibilities

  Common accountabilities

  • Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.

  • Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.

  • Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

  
  Specific accountabilities

  Understand, identify and define customer needs

  • Transform the high-level vision of the Product Manager into detailed requirements, working closely with a range of stakeholders for the product, including non-customer stakeholders such as finance, security, operations, support, audit, and others.

  • Interact with Product Managers to write user stories affecting the team backlog

  
  Support the product features definition (scoping)

  • With the support of the Agile team, lead the definition and prioritization of the User stories, based on customer needs and value, to deliver based on market and business needs

  • Consider and prioritize amongst all user stories the enabler work and sequence the architectural runway in collaboration with the development team

  
  Manage, prioritize and communicate the flow of work

  • Ensure the features and user stories backlogs are reprioritized before each release and sprint planning session

  • Constantly align and communicate with respective agile counterparts and leadership team

  • Do sufficient analysis to ensure requirements are ready to be worked on

  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure they build the right functionality in a timely manner

  • Is involved with ongoing testing efforts

  
  Participate to Agile events

  • Accept stories prior Sprint review

  • Actively participate to team coordination meetings, PO synchronization meetings, draft plan reviews and management meeting

  • Actively participate to System demos and Inspect & Adapt workshops if in SAFe

  • Attend the events and sharing sessions organized by the Community of Practice of Product Owners

  • Organize demos
