      Our team is looking for a product owner to maximize product value and teamwork. As the Business Services capital markets product owner on the Capital Markets Solutions team, you represent the business needs voiced by internal clients. You support the growth of the Fixed Income Group by modernizing and transforming its IT solutions and business processes. You work closely with the project sponsor, project manager, architects and integration team to ensure that the solution meets users’ needs and that the expected benefits of the project are realized. You manage relationships with the project’s various stakeholders. You also help put in place the structure and agile operating methods needed to carry out the project. You lead and influence squad specialists and practitioners on planning, feasibility and development projects and highly innovative, complex strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors . More specifically, you will be required to :

      • Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives under your responsibility.

      • Develop and help implement goals, solutions and action plans

      • Define and prioritize items in the team’s calendar to ensure the completion of priority files, whose scope and impacts are strategic in nature and affect the entire organization.

      • Define the product backlog for your squad’s projects, mandates and development activities.

      • Identify sprint priorities to maximize the business value delivered.

      • Adequately explain specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development and IT support teams.

      • Work closely with Desjardins Group’s IT, architecture and business teams to align the cross-sector data asset roadmap.

      • Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives.

      • Diagnose issues, challenges and needs within your multidisciplinary team.

      • Identify, analyze and diagnose problems, report major issues and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned regarding business solutions and key market-development strategies and tactics.

      • Review and help implement specific documentation or training related to your activities.

      • Represent your unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies.

      What you bring to the table

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field

      • A minimum of six years of experience in IT product/software management or other relevant experience and/or experience as a product owner (PO)

      • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

      • Knowledge of French is required

      • Proficiency in written communications to properly document client needs, the conditions for success, and backlog and budget reporting

      • Proficiency in problem solving by proposing alternatives to address roadblocks such as lack of capacity or dependence on a supplier

      • Knowledge of the capital markets industry and specifically the fixed income sector (sell side), and in-depth knowledge of sales and trading platforms, order management, the life cycle of fixed income transactions, market and repository data management, accounting, risk and more

      • Knowledge of Agile methodologies in the context of transformation of delivery methods

      • Knowledge of the integration chain from front to middle to back to risk

      • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

      • Knowledge of capital markets solutions and platforms, including Bloomberg (TOMS, Data License, B-PIPE), Tradewest, CanDeal, GLMX, Tradeweb and ION (Fidessa)

      • Knowledge of financial products, pricing mechanisms, types of bonds, yield curves, credit ratings, transaction valuation, fixed income derivatives (futures, swaps), risk hedging, financial regulations and standards governing financial markets (Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, etc.)
