      About the Opportunity

      The Agile Product Delivery group within has an immediate opening for a Senior Product Owner, reporting to Chapter Lead of the Agile Product Delivery team. Agile Product Delivery provides transformation support services for National IT and the Federal Reserve System, including:

      • Inhouse and vendor-provided Agile and product management education

      • Platform and process support for maturity measurement

      • Insights and reporting on transformation progress

      • Coaching and guidance for business agility through Agile and product management

      The Product Owner for Agile Product Delivery is responsible for defining and prioritizing the team’s backlog while ensuring that stories and outcomes are consistent with the Service Lead’s vision. You will act as a liaison to other National IT organizations and partner groups across the Federal Reserve System, delivering on coordinated efforts as well as team owned outcomes. You will be responsible for managing a backlog of important requests and on-going work while determining the criticality and priority of incoming work. In addition, you will anticipate internal and/or external business challenges; recommend process, operations, and service improvements, guiding the team to advance maturity and value delivered. You will solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business and contributes to the development of functional strategy, while leading or consulting with partners to achieve milestones and objectives.

      What You Will Do:

      • Gather, manage, and prioritize the backlog and work with the Scrum Master to drive sprint and release plans

      • Contribute to the development of innovative ideas to improve operating procedures, platforms, and services, enhancing value for customers.

      • Manage and prioritize across multiple services; set achievable deadlines, manage risks, and ensure that milestones are met.

      • Build relationships within National IT and the Federal Reserve using strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

      • Ensure user stories are developed to start work and have the correct acceptance criteria, focusing on value to be delivered

      • Ensure close collaboration with other teams supporting education, content, and coaching

      • Determine and accept when work is complete in accomplishing the stated story’s objectives and value.

      • Understand the platforms and services in your realm and be able to present to stakeholders when required

      • Assist the Service Lead in defining and developing the strategy and direction

      • Analyze team performance and assist in resource planning to ensure effective team WIP and outcomes

      • Maintain quality of service by ensuring team is adhering to organizational standards.

      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5+ years of leadership coaching experience in both Product and Agile Methodologies

      Agile/Product Experience:

      • Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies

      • Effective at eliciting customer needs and feedback

      • Proven ability to articulate what done means for stories and customers

      • Product Owner certification and experience preferred

      Individual Skills

      • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal

      • Ability to influence and set expectations and hold members of a team or squad accountable

      • Strong communication skills with ability to deliver complex messages and explain trade-offs

      • Proven organizational and time management skills

      • Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied with initiative

      • Ability to think strategically and plan tactically to achieve vision

      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5+ years of leading teams & delivery efforts

The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.       • The role will be expected to work on-site 2 days per week at a Federal Reserve Bank location.

      • The hiring range is $103,900 - $142,890 annually.

      • For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.

      • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
