- Plan and direct the activities necessary for national and international product performance standards approvals
- Determine which standards cover Banner products and obtain/maintain the various standards. Ensure Banner products conform to all appropriate standards
- Keep abreast of changes in product performance standards. Monitor national/international standards via drafts and standards committee meeting minutes for IEC, UL, FM, CCC, ATEX, and other product performance standards
- Communicate standards changes or updates in writing to management, design groups, and technical marketing
- Ensure that all product labels, markings, product specifications and promotional materials accurately depict the appropriate standard and performance ratings
- Work with the various agencies and test labs (UL, TUV, FM, CSA, ETL, etc.) for new product approvals, including co-listed brands
- Develop methods to streamline the approval processes
- Provide guidance to the design teams for new and existing product performance verification tests
- Coordinate the agency work with the various product development teams and compile the required records for agency submittal per the project schedule
- Create and update a monthly agency project status summary for active/ongoing submittal efforts for access by Engineering, Operations, Sales, etc.
- Minimum of associate’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Must have experience with obtaining 3rd party certifications.
- strong communication skills required to address all levels within the organization
- Experience with plastics, luminaries, cord sets a plus

Position Summary
In this position you will collaborate with the Regulatory Compliance team to facilitate activities necessary for national and international product performance standards and requirements for global market access and act as a subject matter expert, ensuring that Banner products conform to applicable requirements, through product evaluations, components/materials selection, testing, documentation, and product labeling.
This position reports to Director of Regulatory Compliance.
