Support environmental compliance programs across MMS division. Ensure MMS products meet domestic and international environmental compliance laws and regulations. Coordinate with Product Stewardship on corporate sustainability initiatives and ensure alignment across the business. Collect, review, and input environmental compliance data. Review product ingredients/bill of material against new REACH SVHC obligations and other MOC & support ‘where used’ analysis. Provide input and support to R&D and Sustaining Engineering teams on Product Stewardship regulations and customer requirements. Create other reports or documents as needed. Assist in writing and reviewing department procedures and SOPs. General SAP use.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Environmental compliance directives such as RoHS Directive, REACH Regulation, WEEE Directive, PFOS/PFOA Regulations, US TSCA Regulations, IEC 62321, IEC 62474, IEC 63000 Standards, Battery regulation, Packaging Directive, China RoHS, BPA Free, California Prop 65, Conflict Minerals, and Phthalates and Animal Derivatives for all range of product; Qualifying new material meeting various product stewardship regulations; Working with third party test labs for the product stewardship testing; Analyzing the BOMs (Bill of materials) for any product and provide the material composition to the business; Writing the job aids to meet various MOC regulations which can be translated into SWI (Standard Work Instruction); Working with the suppliers to collect the material composition and be able to analyze them; and Tools like SAP (Product Data management), Power BI, or Icertis- Statement of Work (Supplier Agreement contract tool).
Salary offered for the position is: $136,802.00 - $141,600.00/year.
