Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Planner to oversee and manage the manufacturing build process for various components. This role is essential to maintaining the production flow, optimizing inventory, and ensuring that customer requirements are met within schedule. The Manufacturing Planner will provide real-time status updates on component progress, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive parts to completion through effective planning and material flow management.

What You Will Be Doing

Production Oversight: Monitor and report the status of component builds throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring parts are progressing according to schedule.
Scheduling and Planning: Oversee manufacturing schedules, including engineering, rework, testing, and other production tasks to ensure timely completion.

Inventory Optimization: Maintain system integrity to drive optimized inventory levels, minimizing costs while meeting production needs.

Material Flow Management: Expedite and streamline material flow through the supply chain to meet customer deadlines and minimize delays.

Shop Floor Control: Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to control shop floor processes for make-parts, monitor production schedules, assess capacity requirements, and provide regular status updates.

Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders, including procurement and operations management, to establish time-phased plans for procured parts and execute processes ensuring timely delivery.
MRP System Maintenance: Maintain Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) parameters, including lead times and lot sizes. Coordinate with Engineering and Change Board Representatives to update BOMs as needed.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $55,100 - $105,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
