      Job Title: Production Engineering HW-SW Engineer
      Location: Saronno, Italy

      About the Role:

      Barco Italy is seeking a talented and motivated Production Engineering HW-SW Engineer to join our Operations team in Saronno. In this role, you will be responsible for the integration and optimization of hardware and software systems in our production processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

      Main accountabilities:

      • Design, develop, document, validate and implement software and equipment for new products and update, in line with ergonomic and safety regulations.
      • Document tooling maintenance instructions in accordance with company requirements.
      • Define and document processes such as lay-out, equipment, process steps.
      • Ensures that developed test solution meets the specifications and tolerances as defined by R&D.
      • Ensure in the new product implementation that the timelines, cost and quality expectations are met.
      • Influence the design for testability to ensure cost-effective test solutions.
      • Responsible for maintenance and upgrading software and equipment during the production phase depending on the product engineering changes.
      • Provide support for maintenance and upgrading the test software to external production sites or service centers.
      • Maximize standardization of equipment and software.
      • Ensure hardware and software development follows the company quality system and relevant internal procedures and policies.
      • Provide support for production technicians in case of problems with the systems provided by the production engineering department.
      • Anticipate and mitigate any risks for new product implementation and update.
      • Provide support to R&D in terms of test software and equipment to evaluate the first prototypes and updates.Evaluate or create new tools/equipment to introduce them in production depending on the requirement of the products.
      • Monitors equipment performance of the tools.

      Education:

      • Bachelor's degree in electronics or computer science or equivalent technical experience.

      Experience:

      • Much appreciated added value.
