Production Engineer, Remote Operations Centre (Control Room)

Prioritize daily production operation activities working alongside the ROC Operators and Integrated Schedulers and deliver accurate daily production plan to marketing team
Actively contribute to the 7-day work planning cycle while monitoring real-time production and financial impacts and shifting priorities as required
Perform production and financial analysis including pigging optimization, well down tracking, as well as identifying production trends and anomalies
Use technology (PI Vision, Power BI, and SEEQ) for optimization and troubleshooting and failure tracking
Own and manage the artificial lift program. This includes being a subject matter expert for build up timers, plunger lift and gas lift, artificial lift candidate identification, continuous improvement of well production
Collaborate and engage with cross-functional stakeholders including production accounting, marketing, HSSE, for daily/weekly analysis
A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with a minimum 3 years of relevant experience OR Production Technologist Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Strong production operations background, including gas well, compressor station optimization and operation
Exposure to BC operations, Oil and Gas Commission regulations and field experience would be an asset
Knowledge of industry and tech programs including PI AF, PI Vision, SCADA, Maximo, Virtuwell, Piper, Power BI and SEEQ is an asset
Capable of working effectively in an open space work environment with multiple stakeholders
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong listening skills
The ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with field operations staff

THE ROLE:
We have implemented PETRONAS Digital Collaboration Centre (PDCC), located in the Calgary head office. The PDCC includes a Remote Operations Centre (ROC) as well as supporting cross functional teams, working together to optimize the performance and operation of our field assets.
We have a fantastic role for a highly motivated professional who is passionate about leveraging technology to provide technical expertise to the field operations execution team while demonstrating safety as a top priority. As part of the ROC team, you will collaborate with ROC operators, schedulers, and planners in real time to ensure the optimization of production while minimizing operation costs. You will collaborate with subject matter experts on long term asset reliability initiatives.
You will work out of our Calgary head office, with 7 days on 7 days off, 12 hours/shift schedule on straight day shift.
