- The Utility Person is responsible for setting up supplies on lines 1 and 2. The worker also checks printers on line 1 to ensure they
are set up correctly. The work of a Utility Person with Foster Farms is performed indoors in a poultry processing/packaging environment. Temperature
levels will vary depending on where in the facility the worker is stationed. Due to the use water during the sanitation of equipment
and processing operations the humidity and overall moisture levels are high in most indoor processing areas. Tools used in this position include but are not limited to the following: Slicer, cases of labels, carts used to transport cases, printers.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must wear required PPE for work area.
- Must be able to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Must be able to tolerate repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check a drug test.
- Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 60 pounds repetitively.
