We have two new exciting opportunities: a Line Owner focusing on Baking Lines and a Line Owner focusing on Packaging Lines.As a Line Owner, you will drive the performance of the lines ensuring the production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements. Meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental needs – striving for Manufacturing Excellence. You will be responsible for the management and development of staff in your area.
A day in the life of …Reporting into the Production Manager, this role is exposed to iconic, historic and significant pet food brands. These brands are important to our customers and our consumers alike – and as a result we are seeking candidates with a proven background in food manufacturing and leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead the safety culture and conditions for a safe working environment
• Ensure that all products are consistently manufactured to a quality standard and in line with relevant manufacturing standards
• Develop line members to produce good quality product by following production plan ensuring supply
• Manage production effectively through operational reviews and use standard routines to ensure sustainable results and line performance
• Identify and lead projects to ensure continuous improvement. Drive for excellence and support/train/coach operators and staff in their tasks.
• Manage planned maintenance activities to achieve line high performance and efficiency
• Maintain constant dialogue with Line Teams, Production Manager and Maintenance
What will make you successful?This role will suit someone who is efficient and enjoys working across multiple functions. To be successful you will need:
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience in a leadership role in the food industry
• Demonstration of leadership ability by leading a project within a factory environment
• You will have a relevant tertiary qualification and practical experience in engineering, technology, and science
• Utilise your coaching skills to ensure continuous improvement and involvement of the workforce
• Experience with TPM or other manufacturing excellence framework
