- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot production and packaging equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule.
- Repair machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Monitor production systems and report unresolved issues to your supervisor.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and PMOs to support ongoing operations.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Perform daily and weekly inspections on assigned machines.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
- Follow sanitary maintenance procedures, especially near food-contact surfaces.
- Identify and report any food safety or quality concerns immediately.
- Comply with all GMPs, safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with packaging or form-fill machinery.
- Experience may be replaced with successful completion of a secondary two-year technical education in packaging, electrical, electronics or related field.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs preferred.
- Technical diploma in packaging, electrical, electronics, or related field may substitute for experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals written in English.
- Maneuver around machinery throughout the entire workday.
- Climb ladders or stairs regularly.
- Lift and carry loads up to 64 pounds.
- Work in confined or awkward spaces and on elevated platforms.
- Tolerate hot, cold, humid, noisy, wet, and odorous environments.
- Use hands and arms overhead or outstretched from the body.
- Communicate effectively in loud environments to ensure safety and quality.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, gloves, and respirators.
- Maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
- Work safely around electrical components and moving machinery.
- Must be authorized and able to operate lift trucks.

Production Maintenance Technician
Location: Old Dutch Foods – Roseville, MN
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Overnight Shift)
Pay: $25.86 - $31.90 per hourPosition Summary:
As a Production Maintenance Technician at Old Dutch Foods, you will be responsible for the installation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment and facility systems. This hands-on role supports plant operations by ensuring equipment runs efficiently and meets safety and quality standards. You will work both independently and collaboratively as part of the maintenance team, while maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all Food Safety and Quality Programs.
