      Title: Production Operator- 3rd Shift/Overnight

      Classification/Job Grade: Hourly

      Location: Battle Creek, MI

      Department: Plant

      Supervised by: Supervisor

      Job Summary:

      As a Production worker we have several opportunities to work in different areas of the plant to operate equipment. If you like to work in a fast-paced environment, have attention to detail and enjoy being part of a team this might be the perfect job for you.

      The ideal candidate will be able to work a rotating schedule 7pm to 7am. Rotation is as follows: on 3 days, off 3 days, on 2 days, off 2 days, on 3 days, off 2 days. Rotating back to on 3, off 3.

      There is a mechanical aptitude test that is administered to all candidates that are considered for an interview. A minimum score must be met in order to be considered for employment.


      Hours: 7p - 7a

      3 & 4 Day Work Weeks!

      All candidates to be considered for hire will have to take and pass an aptitude test:

      • Pay Scale Based on Test Score
      • Additional $2.00/hour shift differential!

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line
      • Perform cleanings during set down times and product changeovers
      • Load/unload stacks and moves items as assigned
      • Sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units
      • Mark or place identifying labels on product loads, ensuring that all finished product is coded properly
      • Record movement of stock in and out of work areas
      • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
      • Monitor materials, products and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to supervisor
      • Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency
      • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format
      • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
      • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
      • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc
      • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
      • Other duties assigned or required
