      Job Summary: As a Production Planner for the Supply Chain department, your responsibilities will include planning and ordering raw material for production operations as well as creating daily production schedules that prioritize customer demand. To do your job effectively, you will also create and manage production progress reports, schedule adherences, and inventory balance reports. You will also be asked to help in leading meetings with the shop floor leadership for progress reporting and continuous improvement.

      Required Education/Experience :

      • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; College degree preferred, APICS certification is a plus
      • 2 years of previous experience in a planning, supply chain, data entry, scheduling or coordinating role

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • ERP / MRP systems experience; SAP preferred
      • Previous working experience in an aluminum manufacturing facility
      • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets
      • Experience in developing and utilizing Excel macros for automation of repetitive tasks related to production planning

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Ensures daily production requirements are achieved through the effective scheduling of production
      • Analyzes and prepares documents needed for production (part setups, production routers, bills of material, etc.)
      • Performs data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
      • Creates and maintains production schedules that prioritize job orders for production optimization
      • Follows up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations
      • Completes status reports for production progress, work in process, raw material and finished goods inventory
      • Interacts with shop floor management to resolve production issues
      • Interfaces with customer service to ensure we are meeting customer needs and provide order status updates
      • Performs data entry, data processing, reporting, and analysis in ERP or other systems
      • Manage inventory including levels, cycle counts, physical inventory reconciliation and reporting
