      Job Description

      We are currently seeking a Production Planner to join our Planning team at our Dudley site. As a Production Planner you will deliver the agile and innovative expertise needed by our customers, whilst protecting their brands.

      Job responsibilities of a Production Planner include:

      • Ensure the business maintains safe ways of working.
      • Report any issues that compromise an individual or the business
      • Primary contact for the factory in relation to production plan.
      • Co-Ordinate the provision of all materials and production staff to deliver the daily production plan.
      • Co-Ordinate with production and planning manager any plan changes due to breakdowns or material issues.
      • Re-Align plan to match any plan changes.
      • Creation of daily and Weekly production schedule within our Operations &
      • Planning system “Vision”.
      • Creation of Production Line works orders within our Operations & Planning
      • system “Vision”.
      • Work closely with the operation on a daily basis to ensure planned targets and customer deadlines are being met & priorities are advised.
      • Escalate any operational issues to the Site General Manager.
      • Manage plans in conjunction with Material availability working on a push / pull basis.
      • Assign all stock to Works orders.
      • Utilise and promote the use of the business “Vision System” in order to streamline processes and communicate effectively across the business.
      • Be the go to & Request concessions for OOD stock
      • Administer material data through IPS and Customer systems
      • Optimise the production plan (Plan for Profit) in relation to running hours and managing change within a two week window.
      • Amend WO BOM’s where needed. Provide holiday cover for book the correct amount of outbound vehicles to despatch stock in a timely manner.

      Qualifications

      As a Production Planner you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:

      • Understands the needs of others and acts to ensure all colleagues time and skills are respected.
      • Acknowledge when things have gone well and not so well and manages appropriately
      • Adaptable- Accept change and is prepared to face the unexpected through planning and consideration of contingency
      • Show integrity and honestly with no hidden agendas, can be relied on to deliver promises and show discretion
      • Work with others rather than against, support and encourage, seek to understand other viewpoints
      • Good IT Skills, intermediate skills in Excel
      • Experience in Planning
      • Knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrates compliance
