      Production Planning - P5 (Principal Production Planner)

      Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and control of products through the production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. Ensuring materials are provided according to schedules. Provides input to management, reschedules and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers to reschedule in case of material shortages, backlogs or schedule interruptions.

      Responsibilities

      • Develops, maintains and controls the master production schedule.
      • Develops "what if" analysis based on the regulatory uncertainty.
      • Assists production supervisors with the implementation of the production schedule.
      • Prepares reports, presentations and graphs with monthly operating summaries for planning and execution of meetings.
      • Analyzes and interprets marketing forecast reports.
      • Assignment of engineering charge order effectively
      • Maintains and controls the necessary inventory flow for components availability.
      • Attends and participates in Forecast, Allocation, Inventory, Supplier and Delivery meetings.
      • Supervises, trains and develops the production control assistants in production scheduling issues.
      • Communicates and follows up on issues related with components availability.
      • Communicates production planning issues to relevant areas as Marketing, Production Control, Customer Service, etc.
      • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
      • Develops and enhances relationships with strategic supplier/partners. Serves as primary contact and fosters positive and mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers.
      • Coordinates early supplier involvement in product development and purchases the required materials to support product development and product launches
      • Manages component supply and inventory levels for product line(s), planning and purchasing for material requirements and ensuring flow of materials to the production floor.

      Requirements:

      • BS/BA with 8 years of Materials Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
      • Strong background in Production and/or Planning
      • MBA is preferred.
      • Strong Experience/Knowledge in Business Processes like Master Data Maintenance, inventory management, production planning, procurement, SI&OP, MRP, etc. Also, strong experience/knowledge on systems like SAP, MES, Business Objects, Rapid Response and/or advanced supply chain planning software. Data visualization systems knowledge. Project management experience is preferred.
      • Strong People and communication skills (English & Spanish) with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization. Teamwork oriented.
      • Project management experience is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Flexibility to travel, and flexible schedule to accommodate multiple time zones
      • Fully Bilingual

      Minimum Salary: $ 77300

      Maximum Salary: $ 146900

      The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

      Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

      Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
