Pacific Coast Fresh Company is a local, family-owned produce distributor that has proudly served our Pacific Northwest retail, wholesale, and food service customers since 1977. We are now one of the largest independent produce distributors in the Northwest with distribution centers in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle (Kent), Washington.

What you’ll do...

• Package hummus, scooping, weighing, lidding, labeling, and sealing containers
• Check the quality of product to meet food safety standards
• Label containers according to item
• Clean, soak beans, and assist with cooking and cooling bean process
• Complete customer orders in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Sanitize trays, carts, kettles, production utensils and workstations
• Support a safe work environment and maintain Food Safety and Quality programs and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Follow GMP’s and Safety Guidelines
• Other duties may be assigned

What we look for...

• Ability to use measuring cups, scoops, and scales
• Ability to read and scale
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
• Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Must have general knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety
• Have good oral and written communication skills (ability to read and write in English or native language, as is affected by direction and paperwork)
