- Manage and complete work orders as determined by production schedule
- Manage assigned production lines
- Cross functional interaction to resolve technical problems, scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, etc.
- Manage staff of hourly employees to include:
- scheduling personnel to meet production requirements
- taking disciplinary action per company policy
- drafting and delivering performance evaluations
- training and development, timecard management, handling employee relations issues
- Enforces safety and housekeeping rules and policies in areas of personnel and security
- Coach, mentor and develop staff, including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisal
- Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
- AS Degree with job experience is preferred
- Ability to work with numbers, perform calculations, mechanically inclined
- Good communication, verbal and written skills
- Good leadership skills to influence and motivate associates
- 5 plus years of production experience in high-speed canning/bottling operation
- Some supervisory experience preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Proven leadership in aspects of the safety program
- Multi-disciplinary understanding of the plant operations
- Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
- Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
- Lifting/carrying
- Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
