      Job Description:

      Position Summary:

      The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations within the Injector department on 2nd Shift. The purpose of this position is to control and manage daily production activities, production achievement, and 6s. The Supervisor will lead the production floor team, balancing manpower utilization effectively to maximize productivity while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

      Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Minimum of 2 years related work experience
      • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties

      Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

      • 2 year College Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or Organizational Leadership
      • 5P Training
      • Previous Supervisory Experience

      Position Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Daily Activities: Floor Control, Production Reporting (Inventories, Production Achievement, Rejects), Quality Improvement, Associate Communications, Attendance Tracking (Line-up, Overtime), 6S and Safety Control, Daily Gemba: 75%
      • Continuous Improvement (Efficiency, Quality, Budget, w/PDCA cycle): 5%
      • Initiate Training and Assessment: 5%
      • Associate Coaching and Counseling: 5%
      • Understand and Achieve Customer Requirements (Quality, Cost, Delivery): 5%
      • Project Management: 5%

      Skills and Abilities:

      • Ability to promote and carry out the Astemo Philosophy
      • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
      • Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companies
      • Maintains clean and orderly work environment
      • Ensures all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area
      • Conducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provides support / training as needed
      • Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
      • Interacts with various levels of associates
      • Improves manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives
      • Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment
      • Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      • Will supervise associates

      Software:

      • Basic experience required in Windows and MS Office
      • Intermediate experience required in Excel

      Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:

      • Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting, standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the work day
      • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, 35 pounds occasionally, push pull up to 50 pounds
      • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
      • Full Motor Skills
