      About Our Opportunity:

      As the Production Supervisor for Dining & Culinary, you will provide functional shift supervision of hourly and student staff in a large, multi-faceted, fast-paces, collegiate food operation. This role will work in a variety of areas in the operation to monitor, ensure, and demonstrate ServSafe food sanitation techniques. The Supervisor will continuously orient, train, and mentor all staff members in safety, culinary techniques, safe food handling, and equipment operation. They will train and monitor employees in service, production, and food storage standards. This role will work independently using expert culinary, organization, and quantity food handling knowledge to support departmental goals. Additional tasks may include grilling, frying, and assembling recipes, as well as, fruit and vegetable preparation. Lastly, in this role, you will demonstrate effective communication in daily interactions with guests, employees, and supervisors.

      What We're Looking For:
      Required:

      • High School Diploma/GED.
      • Four years of experience in food supervision.
      • Ability to work well with others, particularly individuals from differing backgrounds and views.
      • Ability to pass the Food Handler’s examination and AllerTrainU within 3 months of hire.
      • Expert knowledge of production record keeping and communication.
      • Experience with basic Point of Sale/cash register functions.
      • Ability to meet daily deadlines by use of planning and organizing self and others.
      • Ability to understand and communicate production quantities and conversions.
      • High work standards and productivity, strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
      • A passion for food and culinary work.
      • Stable work history and a good attendance record.
      • Knowledge on and training experience in areas of food sanitation, cross-contact, and allergy protocols.
      • Ability to perform basic math functions, lift and move up to 30 pounds, climb ladders and stand, walk, reach and stoop extensively.

      Preferred:

      • ServSafe Certification.
