      Your Opportunity as the Production Supervisor
      This role will be responsible for the leadership and business results of a team of hourly Technicians and Team Leaders; ensure the team meets safety, quality, and operational standards; and facilitate team development and skill building through coaching and mentoring team members.

      Location: Memphis, TN

      Work Arrangements: 100% on-site
      • Willingness to work off shift (including nights, and/or weekends) and flow to the work as needed

      Reports to: Department Manager

      In this role you will:

      • Provide leadership and direction to Safety, Quality, PR, and HR related issues
      • Deliver team results and manage monthly scorecard and quarterly meetings
      • Ensure appropriate staffing of the technician team
      • Aid in coaching and developing Team Leaders
      • Ability to identify gaps/losses within organization and leverage high performance work tools to Plan-Do-Check-Act
      • Build technical skill level of all technicians
      • Ensures a safe work environment for team by demonstrating and enforcing safe behavior
      • Is a constant leadership presence on the plant floor
      • Effectively communicates expectations, provides timely feedback to performance to those expectations, and takes timely and appropriate disciplinary action when necessary
      • Promotes engagement and maximum effort through demonstrated behaviors and positive recognition
      • Actively demonstrates respect for all people, product, processes, equipment, and customers
      • All Staff shall be informed of their responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
      • Provide tools and environment to ensure food safety
      • Sense of Urgency to escalate Quality or Food Safety issues
      • Understand, prioritize, and eliminate losses by assigning responsibility
      • Build and execute effective daily plans to achieve finished goods schedule
      • Facilitates shift pre-shift meeting, setting up plan, making projections and implementing mid shift corrections
      • Makes cost-conscious business decisions in alignment with all key accountabilities

      What we are looking for:

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree - engineering discipline or equivalent experience
      • 2 years of manufacturing operational experience
      • Proven leadership capabilities.
      • Effectively meet external customer requirements
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Prioritize work in a high demand work environment
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Self-motivated and able to motivate others

      Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

      • Lean manufacturing experience or implementation
      • Experience coaching, developing, and leading others
      • Project planning experience
      • Prior experience managing people and/or teams in a high-performance work environment
      • Food processing, pet, or human food manufacturing, and/or engineering experience
