      The Role:

      As a Stamping Production Supervisor at Ford Oakville, you will do all that and more. We’re investing to expand the Ford Oakville plant to produce the legendary F-Series Super Duty pickup truck. Make the next chapter of your career a long and legendary one: build the best plant from the ground up to build the trucks that keep the world working.

      You will lead a production team to drive a culture of excellence, focus, and collaboration. You will foster a positive culture through Servant Leadership and lead though example for all those you work with. Your team’s success will depend on your ability to ensure production schedules and quality targets are achieved across the department. You will deliver all department scorecard objectives, own processes, and ensure standardization across the department. Continuous improvement, inventory management, interdepartmental communication, and driving the Ford Production System as a change agent will also be core functions in this role.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Education: College Diploma/Certificate
      • Experience: Minimum two years in manufacturing, Supervisory/Quality roles.
      • Must be able to work all shifts; days, afternoons, midnights, and weekends.
      • Must be able to travel outside of Canada for training at other Ford sites.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in high-speed Class-A automotive Stamping operations.
      • Experience in stamped panel quality and dimensional measuring comprehension.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees.
      • Ability to interact with all employees in the organization.
      • Demonstrated conflict management skills.
      • Working knowledge of the Ford Production System and constraint management.
      • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including Six Sigma.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead, evaluate, and empower hourly team members.
      • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members.
      • Organize workflow to meet quality and productivity requirements.
      • Ensure safety, quality, cost, and productivity objectives are met.
      • Drive constant improvement in product quality and production volume.
      • Manage inventory levels for inputs and outputs, and ensure the customer receives finished goods on time.
      • Coordinate activities to eliminate production bottlenecks and reduce scrap.
      • Address department Health and Safety concerns. Enforce compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards.
      • Implement training for all team members.
      • Lead FPS implementation, drive standardized work with all team members.
      • Evaluate and analyze finished parts output, quality, and dimensional results.
      • Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
      • Provide necessary resources to maintain production flow and confirm critical inputs are being performed to the standards.
      • Ensure dimensional and quality outputs meet expectations, and drive improvement and coaching opportunities.
      • Plan standardized proactive and disciplined activities to improve area performance and quality processes.
      • Achieve labour and operating budget targets.
      • Recognize and celebrate accomplishments.
