Job Description
- Req#: 139225
- Operate, load and unload parts properly onto conveyor, robot and/or machine with assistance of a lift truck or hoist (as necessary).
- Manually load and unload parts onto conveyor, robot and/or machine.
- Change tooling and/or fixtures and make minor adjustments as necessary.
- Perform pre and post checks.
- Inspect parts to print specifications.
- Perform daily lift truck and hoist pre-operational safety checks.
- Assist department employees in their task as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
- Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs., walk 2 hrs.) occasionally (bend/stoop/twist, reach below knee level, squat/kneel/crawl, work with arm outstretched). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 30 lbs., occasionally from 31 to 50 lbs.) Must be able to see hear, write, talk, have good binocular vision, and distinguish colors. Must be able to do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy and includes exposure to vibrations, solvents, dust, shavings, grease, and oil. Must be able to safely operate walkie pallet trucks and work safely in areas of lift truck traffic. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- Must be able to read, understand drawings, and production order travelers.
- Must be able to remember, reason and analyze and have good organizational skills.
- Must be able to listen, communicate and understand verbal instructions.
- Follow well established procedures and work according to daily standard instructions.
