Job Description
- Req#: 140004
- Properly hang parts on conveyor line with assistance of a lift truck or hoist.
- Use lift truck to move material and completed parts to proper locations.
- Perform daily lift truck and hoist pre-operational safety checks.
- Perform pre and post check of all parts for defects.
- Note any missing parts for expediting.
- Operate shot blast machines to clean weld slag, paint, rust, etc. from large metal parts prior to being painted.
- Adjust load as required for loading of shot blaster and powder coat lines.
- Assist department employees in their task, as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).
- Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
- Perform other Related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to read, understand drawings and production order travelers.
- Must be able to listen, communicate and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities and aptitude.
- Must be able to remember, reason and analyze.
- Per 10 hr. shift (stand 10 hrs.) frequently (work above chest level, work with arms outstretched), occasionally (bend/stoop/twist, reach below knee level, squat/kneel/crawl, climb steps). Continuous lifting and carrying (continual from 0 to 10 lbs., frequently from 11 to 30 lbs., occasionally 31 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to see hear, write, talk, balance, and have good binocular vision. Must be able to pass a respiratory test and be able to wear a half mask respirator. Must be able to do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in an environment that is moderately noisy and includes exposure to dust, shavings, heat, vibrations, grease, oil, paints, solvents, and spray by products. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic. Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
- Understand basic math (including decimals. Moderate social interaction. Perform same basic tasks every day and follow well established procedures. Work according to daily standard instructions.
