The Production Technician is responsible for preparing and running XRF analytical samples under the supervision of the Mine Planning Geologist. The successful candidate may also support the Production Services Department by assisting in blasthole sampling and preparation.

Essential Functions:

• Preparation and Analysis
  • Prepare samples for analysis using standard laboratory equipment.
  • Conduct analysis on samples on XRF.
• Other Function
  • Assist Production Geologist with blasthole sampling and preparation.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma minimum, bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with QAQC or testing procedures is beneficial.
• Ability to build professional relationships with leaders and external networks.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
• Ability to work independently but as part of a team concept.
• Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver's license and meets NESL's driving standards, preferred.
