      Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives.       Job Summary:

As a Production Technician I in logistics, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working hands-on to ensure that parts and materials are ready and available for the production of diesel engines and/or generators.       What you will do:

      • Operate forklifts, tuggers, and other power equipment to move materials within the facility

      • Deliver, pick, move, and remove materials accurately and efficiently

      • Load and off-load materials on trailers

      • Check, tag, and repack various material

      • Ensure received and delivered materials meet quality standards

      • Repack and organize parts for warehouse storage or assembly area delivery

      • Submit and assist with the resolution of Continuous Improvement Cards

      • Assist in problem-solving and improvement initiatives across departments

      • Handle shipping, receiving, and invoice verification for inventory accuracy

      • Efficiently deliver and remove materials

      • Follow standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructions

      • Report to Section Managers and be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands

      • Occasionally participate in training and development

      • Perform any other assigned duties

      What you will have:

      • Minimum of 2 months' experience in a machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environment or industry certification

      • Ability to work well with others

      • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English

      • General knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint

      • Ability to adhere to safety procedures

      What would make you a top candidate:

      • Previous experience and/or certification in operating forklifts, tugger, and/or other power equipment

      • Previous experience working in a logistics environment supporting assembly of products

      • Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work

      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

      • Ability to perform repetitive operations

      • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

      Additional Information:

      • $ 18.05 /hour starting payrate

      • 1 st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm.

      • 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:30pm-3:00am.

      • 3rd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am.

      • Overtime as required .
