  Job Title: Production Worker

  Job Description

  This position involves working in both the interior and exterior bulk departments, specifically focusing on packaging and woodshop tasks. The role requires flexibility to move between departments as needed.

  This position is Monday to Friday 5:45am-2:00pm.

  Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize door components for assembly including frames and windows.
  • Read and understand tickets to determine needed components.
  • Lift materials and maintain the pace of the production line.
  • Collect components, place them onto the line, and fill out paperwork for any damaged products.
  • Palletize complete doors from production by lifting them, building pallets using a nail gun and saws, and packaging them with wrapping and custom door boxes.
  • Work physically with bending and reaching, partnering with another person to lift doors off the belt and palletize them.
  • Print labels for each door and prepare door stacks for shipping.
  • Build and transport skids to support doors and secure them to pallets.
  • Organize orders to build safe and aesthetically pleasing pallets.
  • Move doors into the pallet and assemble the pallet for safe transport.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure units are free from damage and all correct components are used.

  Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in production/manufacturing or general labor.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively, handling between 150-300 doors a day.
  • Experience with saws, hand tools, and power tools, or willingness to be trained.
  • Able to work Morning Shift
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/32”.
  • Math Skills
  • Available to work 2 hours of overtime if needed.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site, as transit is not accessible.

  • Willingness to learn and a team player attitude.
  • Initiative in taking on new tasks.
  • Knowledge of equipment and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Mechanically inclined.

  Work Environment

  The facility employs between 80-100 people, with 60 in assembly and production roles and the remainder in office positions. It is a brand-new, clean facility dedicated to custom wood manufacturing. The work involves moving between 150-300 doors a day. The dress code requires long pants and long sleeve shirts, with safety equipment such as ear plugs, safety glasses, and safety vests provided.

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langley City, British Columbia.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
