- Perform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipment
- Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operation
- Be responsible for scheduling and organizing employees to accomplish production operations
- Plan and conduct daily safety / operational meetings with employees under your supervision
- Perform annual performance evaluations on team members
- Must make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation
- Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, local agencies & policies
- Work closely with managementu00A0to insure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipment
- Participate in the plant safety committee
- Encourage employees to participate in Guardian Angel activities
- Assist managementu00A0in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE'S, and monthly forecast
- Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy levelu00A0toward teammates, peers, and customers
- Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately
- Responsible for maintaining quality of all products
- Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established
- Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed
- Other duties as requestedu00A0
- Minimum 3 to 5 years+ experience preferably in aggregates industry
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must maintain a valid driver's licenseu00A0
- Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Understand team based management
- Self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel long distance by car or other commercial means, overnight at times
- Must be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as required
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner.u00A0 This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection
- Ability to operate hand levers, foot pedals and steering wheel
- Must have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipment
- Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Ability to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as required
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipment
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain.
- Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
