      The CRC Revenue Accounting Department is seeking to fill a Production/Revenue Accountant position to support the daily operations. This position is in Bakersfield, CA and is eligible for a both a 9/80 and hybrid work from home schedule.

      The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $75K to $93K, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Your actual level and base salary, however, will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

      Responsibilities

      • Federal Regulatory reporting (OGORS,2014,EIA)
      • Develop comprehensive working knowledge of Oil and Gas accounting
      • Maintain production and revenue software for accuracy and completeness
      • Allocate production and sales volumes
      • Record revenue for financial reporting and payments to royalty owners
      • Variance and trend analysis on production volumes and revenue sales with explanations of exceptions
      • Prepare A/R reconciliations and (G/L) account reconciliations for assigned areas and research outstanding balances
      • Prepare general ledger (G/L) entries
      • Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries in a professional and timely manner
      • Other related duties as assigned
      • Work overtime as required to meet business needs

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
      • Demonstrate proactive attitude, taking initiative, and strong work ethic
      • Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Problem-solving and analytical skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
      • Able to transform large sets of financial data into actionable information for decision making
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, interact effectively in a team environment, and willingness to adapt to change
