      Job Description:

      Understand technical or product specific accounting knowledge; Researches and resolves/ processes accounting exceptions; prepares one or more of the following: data, GL balances, disclosures, SEC reporting.

      The Consumer Credit Accounting team is part of the Consumer Privacy & Data Management organization and is responsible for the accurate accounting and reporting of modified and non-performing loans in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory guidelines. The team performs various accounting, analysis and reporting activities as part of the monthly accounting close. The team also supports regulatory reporting submissions (SEC filings, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14M/Q, etc.) by ensuring the data provided is accurate and complete and in conformance with FRB/OCC instructions. In addition, the team participates in a variety of data quality and data analysis routines to ensure the integrity of data residing in the accounting systems (CLEAR and Over$ight), the BAC Mortgage Hub application which is the Authorized Data Source (ADS) for residential mortgage data, as well as the BAC Vehicle Hub application, the ADS for vehicle lending data. The team is also involved in audits through interactions with regulators and auditors along with providing requested information and responding to questions.

      Key responsibilities for this role include:

      • Participate in the monthly accounting close by preparing reconciliations and reports
      • Support internal audits and regulatory exams by providing requested loan documentation and data from various systems of record
      • Support system fixes/enhancements by performing data validations, end user testing (UAT) and post release testing
      • Perform analysis using Microsoft SQL, research issues and provide input for resolutions
      • Review/analyze monthly KVM Trend Reports
      • Complete monthly data reconciliations across accounting systems and ADS
      • Support the preparation of SEC and regulatory reporting submissions

      Required Qualifications :

      • 3 – 5 years’ experience interpreting, classifying and analyzing data, utilizing MS T-SQL
      • Knowledge of Home or Vehicle Loan Servicing and Loan/Lease Accounting
      • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
      • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point skills
      • Familiarity with BAC applications (CLEAR, Over$ight, BMH, MSP, IALS)
      • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
      • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment

      Desired Qualifications :
