What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, develop, and update coding education curriculum based on current guidelines and best practices
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars for coders and coding-related staff
- Create engaging e-learning modules and online courses for remote learning
- Provide hands-on guidance to coders, reviewing coding accuracy and compliance
- Conduct coding audits and provide detailed feedback to enhance coding proficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management preferred or related field of study required
- 2-3 years of coding experience required
- One or more credentials required for this position: CPMA, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
- Strong instructional skills and ability to engage learners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of teaching experience preferred
- In-depth understanding of coding guidelines and compliance regulations
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate coding accuracy and training effectiveness
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
