  About the Role

  The Proficient Mechanic’s role is to ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of winery production equipment, by performing maintenance, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting—supporting overall production reliability and safety.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance on winery machinery, including pumps, compressors, crushers, presses, conveyors, and other production equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Identifies and resolves equipment faults quickly to minimize production disruption.
  • Responds to urgent mechanical issues during production and be available on-call during critical periods.
  • Ensures all maintenance activities comply with Treasury Wine Estate and OSHA safety standards and protocols.
  • Accurately maintains all maintenance logs, service records, and inventory usage.

  About you

  • You have a Valid California Driver’s License and proof of good driving record
  • Forklift certification, boom-lift, crane and tractor experience is a plus
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications in mechanics, electrical systems, or related fields preferred
  • You have 2+ years of experience as an industrial mechanic, preferably in a winery, brewery, or food manufacturing environment.
  • You have experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • You are proficient in diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery.
  • You have familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated systems.
  • You can read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • You can work different shifts, including nights and weekends. It is required to support production demands. Shift rotation may occur during harvest season to align with operational needs.
  • You can work outdoors 8 to 12 hours a day in any weather conditions.
  • MUST be able to work the “Second Shift”. Start time is either 1pm or 3pm

  Pay Transparency Disclosure: The hourly pay range offered for this position is $28.36 to $34.62 and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our
  93446 Paso Robles, CA, United States location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
