      SPA's Maritime Division provides timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical and acquisition support to the Undersea and Surface Warfare communities, and related agencies and partners. We play key roles in providing the insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to our national security. We have tremendous impact in assisting our clients to achieve success on their most important issues and programs within the constraints of the budget environment.

      The Undersea Platform Analysis Group (UPAG), within Maritime Division, provides highly qualified technical program analysis and engineering support to NAVSEA Team Submarine platform activities that are enhanced by unique software and subject matter expertise.

      Timeline for intern selection:

      • Applications can be submitted and will be reviewed until 17 November 2023.
      • Interviews will conclude by 13 December 2023, with offers/decisions within two weeks of interview.

      Responsibilities

      Learn and gain experience through providing analytic and management analysis support for important Navy acquisition activities. Duties will include exposure to and participation in policy and program research, light data analysis, and development of presentations for senior leadership, focusing on undersea platforms and strategic deterrent activities.

      Qualifications

      Required Qualifications:

      • Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Public Policy, or other technical or programmatic field
      • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to synthesize data and communicate succinctly and clearly via written and verbal means
      • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to communicate to decision makers
      • US Citizenship required

      • Strong customer service skills, with interest in proactively anticipating and addressing client needs.
