About Us
Avivo’s Ending Homelessness division provides comprehensive pathways to housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We partner with county coordinated entry systems, tribal governments, and operate unique street outreach teams to connect people with shelter and permanent housing. From scattered-site apartments to our innovative Avivo Village, we deliver housing-focused, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and harm reduction-based services.

Your Role
As the Program and Client Support Specialist in Transitional Recovery Lodging (TRL), you will be instrumental in supporting individuals and families actively engaged in Avivo’s Intensive Outpatient Treatment programs. You’ll ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the TRL program, assist with participant transitions, and help maintain safe and welcoming living environments as participants work toward recovery and stable housing.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Support daily operations and facilities needs within Transitional Recovery Lodging.
• Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to ensure participants’ needs are met.
• Assist with transitions, including packing and storage of participant belongings upon discharge.
• Prepare units for new participants entering the program.
• Order and obtain program supplies in coordination with program leadership.
• Use harm reduction and culturally responsive practices in participant interactions.
• Partner with Avivo’s treatment team to provide seamless care for shared participants.
• Promote Avivo’s values by embracing recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and racial equity.
• Participate in ongoing efforts to undo racism and reduce disparities.
• Support participants during transitions to alternate housing, lodging, or shelter placements.

Qualifications

What You Offer

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or chemical health challenges.
• Experience working with individuals impacted by long-term homelessness.
• Lived experience is valued and counts toward the experience requirement.
• Understanding of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive services.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and maintain healthy professional boundaries.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., perform physical tasks related to program support, and travel as needed.
