      Your Job:
      Methodist Generations provides resources, advocacy, and activities for older adults (age 55+). The Program Assistant will help conceptualize, implement, and market educational health and wellness events for the growing populations in Dallas, Collin, Tarrant, and Ellis Counties. The Program Assistant will provide administrative support for Methodist Generations, which is part of the Methodist Health System Public Relations and Marketing Department. The position will be based out of the Generations Center at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

      Your Job Requirements:

      Education:

      College degree preferred, minimum high school diploma

      Related Work Experience and Other Skills:

      Event planning, organizational skills, ability to use Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word and Power Point), Zoom, and working with older adults (age 55+)

      Physical Demands and Work Environment:

      Job may entail some Saturday and evening hours, ability to lift 20 lbs. and to stand for fair number of hours.

      Job Roles (job duties that will appear on performance appraisal. Recommend no more than 10 job duties.)

      1. Promote Methodist Health System by creating, developing, implementing, promoting, and evaluating health and wellness programming for the older adults (age 55+)

      2. Coordinate catering, room, and A/V reservations for Generations event

      3. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for Methodist Generations

      4. Maintain needed supplies and ensure invoices, from vendors and instructions, are recorded and sent to Director processing, thus helping to ensure we remain on budget

      5. Track and analyze attendance numbers for events to include in annual reports and use to plan future programming

      6. At times, help to create or update communication about classes, and events, coordinating with PR team. This may include, but not limited to: text for monthly mailers, email newsletters and website

      7. At times, help create questionnaires to survey members about previous events and classes, as well as their overall satisfaction with the Generations program

      8. Remain current on information and availability of resources to aid and assist visitors

      Other duties as assigned.
