- Responsible for the timely collection, review, and submission of program related reports from USCRI network agencies participating in the Preferred Communities program;
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all reports and inquiries submitted to USCRI Headquarters;
- Disseminate information to and provide partner agencies with feedback and training as needed;
- Support in providing culturally competent training and technical assistance on the subject matter to a national network of providers;
- Ensure outcomes and compliance with federal guidelines through monitoring and evaluation activities;
- Collect data, write reports, provide support to Program Officers in proposal continuation applications;
- Provide strong support and guidance on subject matter to network;
- Monitor and report on trends related to the Preferred Communities program;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and/or at least two years relevant experience is required;
- Experience providing case management and employment services domestically or relief services is desirable
- Strong communications and writing skills in collaboration with others; impeccable attention to detail;
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a part of a team and also work independently;
- Highly adaptable and flexible with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a demanding work environment;
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills; ability to work as a team member and independently, with a high level of self-motivation and ability to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with network agencies and other partners,
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and database programs;
- Education and/or experience in social work or two years relevant experience with refugee resettlement programs preferred;
- Experience in social services, trauma-informed and responsive care, strength-based case management;
- Demonstrated intercultural communication capability;
- A background in grant management is desired;
- Demonstrated support of USCRI’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace and;
- Must have dedication to human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people.
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity;
- Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands; and
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.

OVERVIEW
The Preferred Communities (PC) Program is funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to provide intensive case management to the most vulnerable refugees. USCRI operates the PC program through partner agencies to facilitate self-sufficiency for especially vulnerable refugees by providing individualized, comprehensive case management services for up to one year. The PC Program Assistant will report to the PC Supervisory Program Officer and will support a team of Preferred Communities Program Officers to promote successful resettlement and integration through the provision of extended case management for vulnerable populations while enhancing community partnerships and capacity. The Program Assistant will collaboratively manage program activities, assist in providing training, technical support, and guidance to program sites, monitor and evaluate program activities, support data analysis, prepare programmatic and financial reports, collaborate regularly with other programs within USCRI, and ensure overall program compliance. The Program Assistant will be responsible for the timely collection, review, and submission of reports from USCRI network agencies participating in the Preferred Communities program. The Program Assistant will work in person out of our office in Arlington, Virginia.
