As the Program Assistant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for students, staff, faculty and visitors to the School. Under general supervision, you will provide operational and administrative support and assist with the management of the academic programs of study related to course enrollment, advising, recruitment and retention. In this position, your duties will include, but are not limited to: coordination of enrolling students, maintaining student files; certifying new majors; tracking second and double majors; tracking advisor assignments and student concerns; serving as a source of information on requirements and curriculum for advisors; managing scholarships; providing clerical assistance to faculty mentors/advisors; obtaining and filing course syllabi; distribution and collection of student course evaluations; coordinate visits by prospective undergraduates; coordinating all events, including invitations; and provide support to faculty, students, and staff as needed.
You will provide information to new and current graduate students regarding program requirements and application processing. You will also compile and maintain graduate student program data, assist with graduate recruitment activities and training and assist with awards for graduate scholarship and fellowship. In coordination with other Academic Office staff, you will receive walk-in visitors and answer the main phone line and complete other office duties as assigned.
This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3,239.00 to $4,299.00 | Range 37, Step A through M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
