Job Description

- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
- Two years of related experience in office administration.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
- Knowledge of basic accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to support occasional student events outside normal business hours.
- Master’s Degree
- Three or more years of experience in higher education office administration
- Coordinates and supports events for students and student groups.
- Allocates assignment processes for new students.
- Serves as the primary advisor to student organizations.
- Oversees student organization meetings/events and fundraising.
- Maintain and update internship and job listings.
- Assist with employer outreach efforts.
- Help process international student applications.
- Disseminates information to incoming students regarding matriculation.
- Sends informational packets, including required health records, welcome letters, orientation schedules, and housing information.
- Disseminates information to current students.
- Maintains a current calendar of events for students.
- Coordinates the development of various departmental reports.
- Organizes and maintains student information systems.

The Bush School of Government and Public Service, https://bush.tamu.edu, was founded in 1997, under President George H.W. Bush's philosophy that public service is a noble calling. Since then, the Bush School has continued to reflect that notion in curriculum, research, and student experience as the Bush School prepares students to become principled leaders in their fields and to reflect the value of public service throughout their careers. In August of 2020, Texas A&M University opened a teaching site in Washington, D.C. The Texas A&M University’s teaching site in Washington, D.C., is located just blocks from the White House. Our inaugural program features The Bush School of Government and Public Service, with plans for participation by other schools and colleges in the future.

The Program Coordinator of Student Services works under general supervision, organizes, and manages various programs and services for students at the TAMU Washington D.C. Teaching Site.

Salary starting at : $64,854.96 and will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.
