We are seeking a dynamic youth development Program Coordinator (also known as Playworks Coach!).About Playworks:At Playworks, we believe in the power of play to bring out the best in every kid. We create a space for every kid on the playground to get active, build skills, connect, and have fun. We partner with schools, districts, and after-school programs to provide services including on-site coaches, professional training for school staff supporting recess, and consultative partnerships.What We Offer:Full-time position, 40 hours per week, at $21.88-$24.28 per hour.Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, disability, life insurance, and pre-tax health and childcare accounts.Paid vacation during school breaks (5+ weeks).Opportunities for career growth, professional development, and networking.Position runs from mid-August through the 2025-26 school year, with potential for continuation.Responsibilities:As a Playworks Coach, you will work at partner schools, responsible for:Creating an inclusive, fun recess by organizing and leading games and activities, actively participating to ensure positive experiences.Teaching students various games during recess to promote physical activity, cooperation, and fair play.Leading a youth leadership program for 4th and 5th graders, training them as Junior Coaches, and mentoring them in leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork.Coaching non-competitive sports teams of 4th and 5th graders, fostering enjoyment, skill development, and teamwork.Additional duties include communication with staff and families, paperwork management, and attending training sessions.Requirements:No prior experience necessary; comprehensive training provided.Must pass background checks (Sex Offender Registry, criminal, FBI).Complete TB testing and CPR/First Aid certification upon hire (provided by Playworks).Reliable transportation to assigned schools.Willingness to actively participate in games and serve as a positive role model.Playworks encourages applications from all individuals regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or ability.
