      Job Summary:

      Plans and executes assigned events, promotions and other activities to ensure programs effectively stimulate customer patronage at Caesars Entertainment. Ensure activities are being held to a high standard and on a strict guideline to realize the highest quality.

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Oversees the planning of all special events and promotions assigned to ensure the highest quality experience for our guests, included but not limited to:
      • Oversee the day-to-day office operations of the Citywide Special Events Department.
      • Assist Special Events Manager with the coordination of all casino event projects.
      • Develop the concept/theme for each promotion/event.
      • Develops the proforma for each promotion/event based on the original budget.
      • Use the events checklist as an organizational tool for each promotion/event.
      • Adheres to timelines and due dates diligently as assigned.
      • Develops the overview and creative strategy for each promotion/event and works with the Direct Mail and Advertising team to develop event invitations and collateral in a timely matter.
      • Coordinates with other department, including but not limited to Caesars Rewards, Casino Marketing, Advertising, Direct Mail, Entertainment, Hotel, Banquets, Employee Relations, Slot Operations, Slot Performance, Table Games, Security, Facilities etc...
      • Develops and distributes internal communications regarding assigned promotion/events.
      • Oversee citywide event on -call and temporary staffing and scheduling against established event calendar.
      • Meets with the Special Events Manager/Director to discuss upcoming events and review execution plan.
      • Works with leads/coordinators to ensure flawless event/promotion execution.
      • Tracks all promotion/event expenses and ensures that that are submitted within a timely manner.
      • Reviews all required paperwork to satisfy 1099 requirements.
      • Must comply with responsible Gaming guidelines outlined by Caesars Entertainment and complete annual refresher modules.
      • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of property and department policies and procedures and adhere to the attendance policy.

      Qualifications:

      • College degree desirable with Marketing, Communications or Business concentration or equivalent or comparable experience.
      • One year in organizing promotions/events or related activities required.
      • Must have strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
      • Must have strong problem-solving abilities, combined with a capacity to work independently and make appropriate decisions without supervision.
      • Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time and to react well under pressure.
      • Must be able to interact well with internal and external customers and work as a team member.
      • Must be able to work flexible hours.
      • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
      Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
      • Must be able to move in and around the Casino/Hotel areas and other special event promotion locations the entire shift.
      • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
      • May work outdoors.
      • Must be able to keep aware of the constant changes and enhancements of events and promotions.
      • Must be able to calmly and handle many customers demands in a fast paced environment.
      • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist balance and work at a desk.
      • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
      • Responds to visual and aural cures.
      • Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photo copy machine, fxc machine, ten key, printer and video poker/slot machines.
      • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke.
