      What you’ll be doing

      As a Program Director, Enterprise Programs, you will manage CIBC-wide strategic regulatory and governance programs that will increase profitability, enhance client experience, and drive operational efficiency and productivity improvement. The enterprise-wide programs have high impact and high complexity over multiple years and span multiple lines of business representing a significant spend to the organization. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you’ll be focused on business outcomes, forging business partnerships, effectively managing risks & business value and leveraging relationships to promote connectivity throughout the programs.

      At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote

      How you’ll succeed

      • Program Management and Program Financial Expertise – You have delivery experience in large, enterprise-wide transformational initiatives and knowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling projects. Specific focus on accountability for financial management, schedule management and management of change.

      • Stakeholder Management – Previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and sponsor relationships across Business and Technology. Contact with and demonstrated ability to influence executives and management within CIBC. Able to take initiative on the preparation of clear, concise and compelling executive presentations.

      • Matrix Management – Must have strong impact through influence skills and experience working in a matrix environment in a large program. Should be able to form strong relationships at all levels, and partner with other teams to get deliverables done.

      • Creative Problem Solving – Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, understand business context quickly and connect the dots. Must be comfortable operating at a strategic level and also driving into detail as needed, and back. Continuous improvement is part of your DNA.

      • You have a strong understanding in program delivery . A delivery professional with 10+ years of successfully running end-to-end strategic programs. Professional designation in program or project management is an asset

      • You know how to manage schedule and budget in a matrixed environment. You can work with workstreams to strengthen and pressure-test their plans and budgets. You can take initiative on the preparation of integrated plans and other key program level deliverables.

      • You have an ability to orchestrate activities across multiple workstreams simultaneously, identify linkages and priorities and ensure resolution of risks and issues. Influence without authority and work within a complex matrix environment. Manage parallel activities, deadlines and priorities effectively.

      • You embrace and advocate for change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work to deliver your best.
