      Function:

      Reporting to the Associate Director, the Program Evaluation Specialist accurately provides data analyses for educational program evaluations and educational research, and data visualizations of these findings to internal and external stakeholders.

      Representative Duties:

      Designs, implements, analyzes, visualizes, and interprets educational program evaluations and educational research, and serves as a content expert on existing educational data sources

      • Works within Division of Education and Training team to design tailored educational program evaluations
      • Implements educational program evaluations in close collaboration with education and training staff
      • Creates data analysis plans for educational program evaluations. Learns and utilizes appropriate statistical methods and models.
      • Builds, delivers, maintains and improves analytics solutions iteratively with contributor feedback
      • Prepares and provides accurate data to in a timely manner and according to established guidelines, best practices, program protocols and deadlines
      • Approaches data analysis and visualization from a Health Equity lens by incorporating findings related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, primary language, socioeconomic status, disability, age, and other social determinants of health

      Collaborates with Division of Education and Training staff on educational program evaluations and educational research

      • Serves as a critical link between the Division of Education and Training and its collaborators to help with their understanding of what data are available to meet their data needs
      • Maintains a functional understanding of organizational priorities and perspectives on data management issues, strategic initiatives, and educational program evaluations and education research objectives
      • Works with staff to analyze and visualize existing data for education program evaluations and educational research to include in presentations, reports and papers
      • Reviews and contributes feedback on research article drafts and provides expertise on how data collection, attributes, and completeness affect educational program evaluation and educational research goals
      • Creates and gives presentations on educational program evaluation projects

      Maintains standardized procedures for data analysis, visualization, and presentations

      • Establishes credibility and trust in data integrity and accuracy across educational program evaluations and educational research
      • Creates standard operating procedures and documentation of processes for data analyses for educational program evaluations and educational research
      • Provides formal written documentation of the dataset construction process for data analyses for educational program evaluations and educational research
      • Manages technical issues related to data analyses for educational program evaluations and education research that require resolution and communicates with contributors regarding these updates.

      Participates in Departmental Meetings

      • Attends and participates in weekly all-Division meetings
      • Attends and participates in bi-weekly project meetings
      • Attends and participates in bi-annual all-Division retreats
      • Attends and participates in other meetings as required
      • Meets with Associate Director on at least a bi-weekly basis (more frequently if needed or requested)
      • Meets with Director on at least a monthly basis (more frequently if needed or requested)

      Meets Agency Participatory Expectations

      • Initiates and participates in continuing quality improvement efforts
      • Adheres to all agency and departmental policies and procedures
      • Participates in quality assessment and improvement activities as requested
      • Adheres to the highest principles of patient and client confidentiality
      • Adheres to established safety policies, procedures and precautions; identifies potential or actual unsafe situations in the environment and takes measures to rectify the situation
      • Attends all required meetings, in-services and professional trainings
      • Attends all regularly scheduled research meetings, trainings, forums and pertinent FCH staff meetings
      • Maintains professional competence necessary to perform job responsibilities; maintains and provides agency with records of continuing education activities
      • Serves on agency committees and in professional organizations when requested


      Performs other duties as required
