      As a Program Manager 2, you will skillfully develop programs and action plans to uphold social responsibility for our Nordstrom Made private label division with our suppliers. The ideal candidate has a unique blend of responsible sourcing social impact and related regulatory subject matter expertise, manufacturing factory industry experience, analytical skills, data management, and problem-solving skills. You will take ownership and successfully engage the supply base to deliver the social, sustainable, and governance strategies throughout our supply chain, working in partnership with our sourcing function, centralized CSR department and industry associations to bring value to our industry partners.

      Additionally, you will drive our commitments and goals by implementing strategies for HIGG FEM & FSLM, ZDHC Chemical and water policy engagement, responsible sourcing, working in industry initiatives and connecting with external stakeholders. Your work will also focus on our traceability program, implementing processes, policies and managing data to increase our product traceability and overall transparency for our customers.       You partner with the Nordstrom Made Directors for Social Responsibility & Quality Compliance, Product Development & Raw Materials, Strategic Sourcing, and JWN Corporate Sustainability & Social Responsibility team of human rights, environmental and Legal experts to ensure Nordstrom facilities are executing on our JWN and Nordstrom Made strategies.

      A day in the life...

      • Drives, implements, and oversees programs, plans and measurable goals to support current and future Nordstrom corporate social responsibility efforts with specific focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) within our supply chain.

      • Leads engagement with business leaders and subject matter experts on specific projects relating to ESG to coordinate strategies, plans and follow through on tactical efforts. Builds and supports connections across teams to create buy-in and drive programs and projects.

      • Manages initiatives, reports results, and makes recommendations based on risk mitigation, brand building, reputation, generate impact and other factors.

      • Manages new supplier mapping to identify, assess, escalate, and mitigate risks within their supply chain prior to set-up. Document findings and remediation prior to set-up approval for sourcing.

      • Derives value for Nordstrom through relationships and opportunities identified through increased external partners and events.

      • Leads measurement and evaluation process for annual reporting and benchmarking surveys on ethical working practices and traceability, related to the private label division.

      You've got this if....

      • A Bachelor’s degree in project management, responsible sourcing, and social/sustainable/environmental impact related field/equivalent work experience.

      • 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental, social responsibility, and governance required

      • You have strong knowledge of understanding of apparel and/or footwear supply chain with experience working with factories in the US and abroad

      • Ability to build strong global relationship and influence through story telling for greater understanding and collaboration at all organizational levels.

      • Familiarity with human rights standards and organizations including SAC HIGG, ZDHC, Better Work ILO, 3rd Party Audit Services, etc.

      • Strong business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking and project management skills.

      • Adept at prioritizing and planning multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles to get work done.

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, and present.

      • Highly proficiency in Microsoft 365 Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.

      Pay Range Details

      The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

      Washington: $92,000 - $155,000

      This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
