      Key job responsibilities
      The Program Manager, Capacity Planning is a newly created role where we are looking for an exceptional leader who is passionate about the Customer Experience, who thinks/acts globally, and who has the ability to contribute major new innovations in the industry to join us as Program Manager. You will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. You are a leader with demonstrated ability to learn new capacity planning methodologies process mapping, process roll out and organization adherence to new processes. This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving, communication skills and a strong track record of delivering results. Cross-team collaboration, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential. A strong record of customer advocacy and influence without authority is important for this role.
      You will work in lock-step with multiple business teams, AWS Support Ops, Finance and Leadership. You will
      Build a headcount management system across the AWS Global Services that will allow organization to scale and enhance itself to customer's demand in the coming years. The role will involve working with and influencing stakeholders across AMER, APAC, and EMEA to standardize processes and create leading indicators for the team.

      A day in the life
      Identify/Implement planning and management mechanisms that will improve operating accuracy and efficiency

      Coordinate with Operations, Capacity Planning, Finance, Talent Acquisition, HR and local site workflow teams to maintain and update staffing plans.

      Communicate HC plans to downstream partners and report on their execution to various stakeholders, and continuously improve the planning and execution cycle.

      Lead Projects to improve planning efficiency and support worldwide network of business units, and operational centers.

      Monitor performance by analyzing performance statistics and financial results; determining/foresee system and process improvements critical to maintaining business-as-usual state

      Prepare management reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends and developing recommendations

      Promote process improvement and standardization of processes across all operational sites in the network.

      About the team
      Global Services Capacity Planning team envisions a steady business state where precise HC plans are available to guide businesses as they hire to serve our customers. Additionally, we work with finance, HR, talent acquisition, operations and tech teams to execute on these plans and update these plans as necessary. The team is made up of a HC planning group, a BIE group, a Data Science group, and a Scale and Standardization group (SSG). This role is withing the SSG.

      Bellevue, WA, USA | Dallas, TX, USA | Herndon, VA, USA- 2+ years of program or project management experience- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
      - Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

      Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
