      ABOUT AMCCF
Established in 2020, the Alterra Mountain Company Community Foundation (AMCCF) is a public charity that was created to provide financial support to the members of the communities in which Alterra Mountain Company operates. Former CEO Rusty Gregory and Alterra founders Henry Crown and Company and KSL Capital Partners provided the initial donations of $2.6 million to launch AMCCF. Alongside support from Alterra Mountain Company, public donations are paramount to AMCCF’s success and ongoing impact.

To date, AMCCF has focused on granting emergency relief and hardship assistance to those in need within the communities surrounding Alterra’s North American destinations. Grants have been available to individuals and nonprofit organizations. Moving forward, AMCCF will start implementing its new strategic plan, which will focus the organization’s scope on providing mental health support in our mountain communities, while continuing our emergency relief and hardship assistance grant program. An additional gift from Rusty was secured to help launch the mental health program.

      SCOPE OF WORK
The Foundation is seeking a program manager to support our new mental health program, which consists of three projects:
      1. Grants to support community screenings of “The Paradise Paradox”
      2. Grants to provide specialized psychotherapies for ski patrollers and heli guides
      3. Optimizing access to quality behavioral healthcare: building a toolkit, hosting convener events, and creating strategic plans

The program manager should have knowledge of the health system and experience in event planning. This individual will be tasked with managing the execution and day to day administration of the mental health program, with a primary focus on organizing the third project—optimizing behavior health. This aspect of the program will be available to several dozen communities and will involve event planning, continual management of various stakeholders and interested parties, strategic planning, and follow-up.

This contract will span through July 2025 and should achieve the following:
      1. Support around the RFP process to identify and onboard external experts to help design the convener events
      2. Planning, execution and follow-up of 1-2 pilot convener events
      3. Management of all regular convener events moving forward
      4. Support and follow-up in the creation of strategic plans for each mountain community that holds a convener event
      5. Design and distribution of the toolkit available to mountain communities

Ongoing support for the Foundation’s two grant programs related to mental health—community screenings of “The Paradise Paradox” and specialized psychotherapies for ski patrol and heli guides—will be requested as well.

      REQUIRED EXPERTISE
      • Experience working with healthcare systems, including the intersectionality of how different levels of government (e.g., county and public health) work together, how medical providers work with law enforcement, how schools address mental health, etc.
      • Knowledge and experience working in community health
      • Understanding of behavioral health
      • Experience working successfully in rural/mountain/underserved community healthcare systems

      SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
      • Passion for the mission of AMCCF
      • Proven ability to wear multiple hats
      • Ability to manage programs
      • Demonstrated skills in time management
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and administrative skills
      • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
      • An affinity for working with culturally, socially and politically diverse communities; must be equally comfortable with locals and "second home" owners, and with experienced and inexperienced skiers/riders

The budget for this work is $6,000 - $8,000 / month over the term of the contract.

      TO APPLY:
Please submit a cover letter and resume to be considered. Only qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. Please outline your knowledge of and experience with mental health, preferably in rural or mountain communities.
