- Oversee and guidance to those building and maintaining curriculum and course of study.
- Participate in writing course of study class outlines and syllabi.
- Actively develop and maintain relationships with organizations such as local churches and pastors, Wesleyan communities and ministry, alumni and prospective students.
- Convene and conduct meetings of Wesley House of Studies staff, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Strategize recruitment efforts in connection with the office of admissions.
- Plan and coordinate developmental and promotional events in connection with the office of development.
- Foster caring community, providing accountability and spiritual formation.
- Create sense of practical theology of mission and evangelism alongside fellow students in opportunities locally and abroad.
- Prepare for ordination in the Methodist or Wesleyan denominations by meeting acceptable requirements of the local Annual Conference Board of Ordained Ministry.
- Serve as an instructor for the Wesley House Pastoral Study Program as needed, and offer long term vision for the Continuing Education Course of Study.
- Schedule and host meetings which support the Wesley House of Studies Board of Advocates.
- Utilize Truett Seminary office of communications, marketing, and recruitment in order to maintain consistency of vision and create Wesley House brand and public relations.
- Provide oversight and shepherding for all Wesley House of Studies students in all Truett campuses by means of clarifying call, offering mentoring, connecting students with local congregations while in seminary, and helping students find placement upon graduation.
- Oversee budget and fiscal responsibility by managing resources properly in collaboration with Truett's business office.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Ability to comply with university policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Baylor’s Truett Seminary is seeking a part-time Program Manager for the Wesley House of Studies. This position supports the mission by overseeing the non-academic formation and equipping of Christ-centered, Spirit-led students to serve churches and other institutions in the Wesleyan tradition.
A bachelor’s degree, 3 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A master’s degree, 5 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are preferred.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
