- Development, implementation, and enhancement of a comprehensive PSMS program that aligns with guidance’s set forth in API RP 1173.
- Engage and collaborate with subject matter experts and key business stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the PSMS program.
- Conduct reviews to evaluate the program effectiveness against the ten elements of PSMS using the “Plan, Do, Check, Act” methodology.
- Report on the effectiveness and maturity of the PSMS program.
- Identify and implement short-term and long-term opportunities to strengthen and improve the PSMS program.
- Ensure effective work collaboration with subject matter experts across the Company to mitigate pipeline safety risks to assist in moving towards a zero-incident culture.
- Manage change by demonstrating support for innovation and for organizational changes needed to improve the organization’s effectiveness; helping others to successfully manage organizational change.
- Works directly with leadership to help define overall customer support strategy and ensure such strategy is executed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate on committees both internally and externally such as the Northeast Gas Association (NGA) and the American Gas Association (AGA) to maintain knowledge and remain current on industry best practices, trends, industry-related regulatory and legislative changes impacting compliance and risk management and recommend changes within the organization.
- Broad knowledge of operational systems and processes.
- Ability to form relationships, collaborate, communicate, and implement effective change.
- Establish a culture of safety, reliability, efficiency, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in pipeline safety compliance.
- Self-motivated, engaging, flexible, adaptable and results oriented team player.
- Bachelors' Degree or 5+ years of utility experience with demonstrated knowledge of the natural gas industry and the associated Federal / State laws and codes.
- General knowledge of pipeline safety management systems, operational controls and compliance preferred.
- Excellent oral skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to write, implement and maintain policies clearly and effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability analyse information, identify themes or trends, and make recommendations.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite and other software applications.
