      How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

      The Program Manager – Safety Promotions will support the execution of the Airport Customer Service (ACS) Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Promotions programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to project management, implementation, communication, scaling, analytics and compliance relating to program maintenance. Additionally, this role will lead the project management of future Safety Promotions expansion and new team initiatives.

      This role will partner with leaders and front-line teams in ACS/CGO Operations, CSSC, and other divisions to identify and promote improvements to ACS/CGO employee safety and compliance.

      Key tenets of Safety Promotion are:
      • Employee awareness of SMS policies, process, action and tools relative to their responsibility
      • Convey safety critical information to all appropriate personnel levels
      • Explain why safety actions have been taken
      • Explain why safety procedures are introduced or changed
      In addition, the Program Manager – Safety Promotions will fully support ACS Ground Safety by facilitating the establishment of enhanced Safety Culture in our operations. This position is based at the Atlanta General Offices and will report to the Manager – ASAP/Safety Promotions.

      Job responsibilities include:

      • Develops strategies to promote safety programs
      • Communicates safety programs using a variety of mediums (social media, alerts, briefings, meetings, etc.)
      • Fosters an environment where safety is a core value by providing education, accountability, and recognition
      • Responsible for leading projects implementation, from defining requirements through deployment; this will include documentation, setting timelines, facilitating project team meetings and meeting deadlines
      • Using Project Management tools, ensures that accurate project plans and close-out of compliance and safety improvement initiatives are managed effectively
      • Uses data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.); digests and interprets assurance auditing and behavior data, draws recommendations, seeks consensus, and drives actions to improve safety behaviors
      • Oversees communication strategies for stakeholder groups to report on project status; collects and organizes feedback and action items; and provides regular updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and others involved in the project including executive summaries and formal presentations
      • Escalates problems as necessary to ensure awareness and assistance with resolutions

      What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

      • Practices safety-conscious behavior
      • Strong analytical skills
      • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, with a strong history of collaboration
      • Must be able to interpret and follow a wide variety of laws, rules, codes and regulations
      • Must be able to work in a time-sensitive environment and be a highly motivated self-starter
      • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
      • Some travel and non-standard work hours may be required
      • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
      • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
      • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
      • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
      • Must be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States

      What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

      • Bachelor's degree (preferably in a Business, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or Communications area) or 5-plus years of relevant experience
      • Project management certification (PMP or CPM) highly preferred
      • Advanced computer skillset to include data analysis and reporting
      • Professional experience in Project Management, Communications, Safety and/or Compliance
